Suspected Ibadan serial killer, Sunday Shodipe narrates how he escaped from police custody

Suspected serial killer, Sunday Shodipe has narrated how he escaped from Mokola police office in Ibadan, Oyo State on Tuesday August 18.

Speaking to newsmen on Sunday August 23, Shodipe said the chance to flee from police custody came from police negligence.

The notorious suspect said;

“The new female DPO asked officer Funsho to permit me take my bath. He cautioned me to not attempt to escape once I am taking my bath.

“I escaped after I saw him discussing with another person. I climbed the borehole pole and jumped the fence. The people living within the area saw me once I escaped but they didn’t raise any alarm.”

Sunday Shodipe was re-arrested on Sunday August 23, at Iwo Road by a gaggle with the support of a tactical team that had once worked with the Special Adviser on Security Matters to Governor Makinde, Fatai Owoseni in Akure.

He was trailed to where he bought and smoked hemp within the city but wasn’t arrested then thanks to the gang within the area. He was arrested while alone in an exceedingly hideout.
