Nigeria Police Cautioned Over Attempt To Instigate Personnel Against Soldiers, Asked To Allow Panel Investigate Taraba Incident


The Nigeria Police have been forewarned against inducing colleagues of the deceased cops to go after soldiers in retaliation over the ongoing incident involving their men and personnel of the Nigerian Army in Takum, Taraba State.

Review that a few officials of the Intelligence Response Unit, the Nigeria Police Force, lost their lives in what was accepted to be an operational mistake with the Nigerian Army in Takum.

Nonetheless, the police had through their Spokesman, Frank Mba, guaranteed that the demise of the cops was a conscious assault on their men by officials of the Nigerian Army.

Therefore, a board of request has been set up to research the conditions encompassing the occurrence.

Responding to the episode, the Grand Alliance Against Terrorism (GAAT) said the progressing war of words between the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Army was unnecessary since a board has been organization to explore the main driver of the conflict.

Tending to newsmen, Babatunde Michael, Executive Director of GAAT, said the ongoing articulations and remarks that the power authoritatively issued for all intents and purposes prompted associates of the perished cops to follow officers in counter., an advancement he said would not foreshadow well for future working association with the Nigerian Army and the military as well as with other security and para-military associations.
