Lagos State Government gives N10 million to the group of LASTMA official who lost her life over the span of her obligation


The Lagos State Government has giving the total of N10 million to the family of the deceased Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) official, Arogundade Remilekun who lost her life over the span of her obligation on the 26th of May 2019.

The occasion which occurred at the Conference Room, Ministry Of Transportation, Alausa had in participation the spouse of the deceased, Oyebode Babatunde Jide and her sibling, Adekunle Arogundade and was likewise seen by the board of LASTMA driven by the Acting General Manager, Isaac Adetimiro.

While giving the cheque, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Oluwatoyin Fayinka portrayed the late official, Arogundade Remilekun as industrious, faithful and clever, emphasizing that the cash was not offered instead of the life but in support of the lives affected by the irreparable loss.

He further stressed that the cash paid was likewise to support perseverance among officials of the state who were resolved to serve wholeheartedly. Fayinka expressed that the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu had prior visited the groups of the killed official at her home alongside the Former General Manger of LASTMA, Mr. Olawale Musa to offer their sympathies.

The Permanent Secretary of Transportation, Olawale Musa Maroof clarified that the whole of the N10 million would be shared among the relatives in the tune of N5 million for the kids, N3 million for the more distant family and N2 million for the spouse of the perished separately. He asked them not to digress from the assigned aggregate, particularly the upkeep of the offspring of the perished.
