A 25-year-old man, Umar Yakubu has been condemned to death by hanging by a Kano High Court on Wednesday for killing his companion, Ibrahim Adamu during a contention over N20 advance.
The convict who lives at Sabuwar Gandu Quarters in Kano was condemned to death on one tally charge of punishable murder, in opposition to Section 221 of the Penal Code Law.
Equity Dije Aboki who delieved the judgment said that the Prosecution has demonstrated its case past sensible questions.
The arraignment counsel, Lamido Soron-Dinki, told the court that on June 13, 2018 at around 11 a.m in Sabiwar Gandu Quarters, Kano, the convict asked multi year-old Adamu to give him a credit of N20.
Soron-Dinki said the convict at that point cut the perished in the chest with a scissors during a contention over the advance.
Soron-Dinki introduced six observers under the watchful eye of the court while the convict safeguarded himself.
